Bleed Magazine
The Bleed Magazine is an award winning magazine. Completely produced by the students of the Graduating class of the Graphic Design Program of Lane Community College. I was the Editor in Chief-of-this production as the smallest cohort to ever do so (eleven) produced all the content for a 52 page magazine within a 7 week period. I was personally tasked with the writing of five stories, and the layout of three while also keeping my cohort on track to meet our deadline and produced 575 copies. This particular issue won many awards such as the NCCPR Gold Medal Award in 2023, this award is awarded to the best magazine or catalog in the pacific northwest produced by a two year school. Winning the NCCPR Gold Medal award nominated us for the NCCPR Paragon award for the best magazine or catalog in all of North America (Including Canada, United States, and Mexico) produced by a two year school, which my team and I were able to bring home first place to Lane Community College. Additionally The Bleed Magazine was entered into the running for an Associated Collegiate Press Pacemaker, one of the most prestigious awards for a student-created publication. Here we were a finalist for the Pacemaker and took first place in the best of show competition.
